Mr & Mrs Blockley at Woodland Place, Billingshurst: “We wanted a versatile, modern home that was eco-friendly”

Mr & Mrs Blockley wanted a new home big on eco credentials, but small on maintenance. Finding a Woodland Place home gave the right balance for this couple, with the service and knowledge from a local estate agent to make for a hassle-free purchase.

“My husband and I were absolutely looking for a new-build home. We had lived locally in a much older house and wanted a versatile, modern home that was eco-friendly, reducing our worries on ever increasing energy bills.

We visited some other developments nearby, including Broadbridge Heath near Horsham, but we preferred the smaller scale of Woodland Place that also did not have a busy road nearby.

It was the woodburning stove that really decided it for us. We were used to having one previously and it just makes a house a home. What has also made us feel settled were the lovely welcome cards that our news neighbours sent us when we moved in.

Since we’ve been here we’ve been creating a flower bed at the back of the garden and some extra paving. The garden is low maintenance already, but we wanted to make it even easier to live with.

Rydon Homes’ local agent Fowlers were great. They helped us sell our existing property whilst we secured our new home, which took away a lot of the usual stress and uncertainty with house buying and selling. Dawn at the showhouse has been a real gem, always at hand and so happy to help with any questions we had.

Yes I’d recommend Rydon Homes to a friend. We’re very happy with our new home and look forward to our future here.”
